Vernon was asked to be reheard. The BBC chose to not hehear the matter and the property owner filed an appeal to the Mayor and Common Council on November 10, 1987 with the City Clerk's Office. Mt Vernon San Bernardino, California, with a "~Joeice to Abate Nuisance", and has notified the person or persons having an interest in said properey that the said building(s) o~ premises constieuee a public nuisance, and has prepared a der.laration ofposeing and , , mailing of the notice, , proceedings; and a copy of which is on file in these .. Based upon the evidence submitted, it is found 3 and determined that the building(s) or premises located at 1548 N. Mt Vernon , San Bernardino, California, constitute a public nuisance for the reasons set forth in Exhibit , "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth at length as the findings of fact of the Board. SECTION Z. The owner(s) is hereby directed to commence the abatement of the public nuisance by obtaining the necessary demolition and/or building permits within ten (10) days after the date of posting of a copy of this Resolution in a conspicuous place on said ouilding(s) or premises. The abatement must be completed within sixty (60) days thereafter." SECTION 3. In the event the public nuisance is not abated within the prescribed period of time, the building(s) or premises shall be razed, demolished, removed, repaired or rehabilitated by the City of San Bernardino, or by a person or persons authorized by the Building Official, and the expense thereof made a lien on the lot or parcel of land upon which the public nuisance is . located. SECTION 4. Any person aggrieved by this order may, within fifteen (1S) days after ADri1 3. 1987 , appeal to the Common Council by filing with the City Clerk a written statement of the order appealed from, the specific grounds of appeal and the relief or action sought from the Common Council.
