Change Order No. 1 authorizes the Contractor to excavate the saturated material and replace with 3/4" rock, for an increase in contract price of $2,000.71, from $231,880.00 to $233,880.71. Contract Change Order No.2 authorizes the Contractor to place 2 - 5" conduits within the bridge for future growth; place reflective signs on the temporary barrier; pour a concrete taper between the existing bridge decks; and lower the bottom controls to match the existing stream flowline, for an increase in the contract price of $2,763.10, from $233,880.71 to $236,643.81. All work under this contract was satisfactorily completed as of 10-23-87. The actual final contract price is $227,941.71, due to construction quantities underrunning the estimated quantities in the bid documents for curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveways, and hand railing. We recommend that the work be approved and accepted and that final payment be authorized at the expiration of the lien period. URGENCY CLAUSE The expiration of the lien period occurs on 11-27-87.
