STAFF REPORT
A second Public Hearing has been scheduled for November 16, 1987, at 11:00 a.m. to
hear public comments regarding the City's intent to submit a UDAG application on
November 18, 1987, for financial assistance from the Department of Housing and
Urban Development for -The Club- Project. If approved by the Council, the
application will be submitted to BUD for the December 1, 1987, UDAG round.
SUMMARY OF -THE CLUB- PROJECT
Developer:
The Simchowitz Corporation.
Location:
-The Club- Project is located within and just outside the
boundaries of the South Valle Project Area. The development is
generally bounded by R.ed1ands Boulevard on the north, Waterman
Avenue on the east, and the railroad tracks on the south (a map is
attached).

RESOLUTION NO.
SECTION 1.
The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is
authorized and directed to execute and submit an application to
the Department of Housing and Urban Development for an Urban
Development Action Grant for the proposed retail usage project
identified as "The Club", and the Mayor is authorized to
execute all understandings and assurances contained in or
required for such app1icstion.
The proposed development is
located within and just outside the boundaries of the South
Valle Project Area and is generally bounded by Red1snds
Boulevard on the north, Waterman Avenue on the east, and the
Southern Pacific Railway on the south.
A copy of the
application is on file and available for public inspection in
the Office of the Executive Director of the Redevelopment
Agency of the City of San Bernardino.
SECTION 2.
The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is
authorized to act as the City's official representative in
connection with the Urban Development Action Grant application.
