1. DOWNTOWN PARKING FACILITIES - Item continued. Fred
Wilson, from the City Administrator's office, presented his
overview and analysis of the downtown parking issue. General
discussion regarding the Downtown Parking Structure/Transit
Terminal report ensued. The Committee requested that the
City Administrator (1) update the report and show new dollar
figures and updated interest rates, (2) identify any addi-
tional dollars that might be available from fines or Parking
District Fund, (3) coordinate with RDA to determine the
feasibility and legality of merging RDA project areas; (4)
determine feasibility of expansion of the Enterprise Zone,
(5) determine projections on use of parking meters in certain
areas, and (6) conduct a study of shortening parking times in
downtown parking area. These issues will be brought back to
the Committee within 30 days.
2. LOCAL TRANSPORTATION/LAND USE ORDINANCE - The Com-
mittee recommended this item be tabled.
3. SOUTHWEST RAILROAD CORRIDOR - Item continued.
