STAFF REPORT
The Mayor and Common Council previously adopted a Comprehen-
sive Housing pOlicy in May, 1986, commissioned a housing
market study in March, 1987, and set a date for a housing
workshop in august, 1987. As a result of those actions and
recent publicity regarding the City's housing needs and
proposed programs, staff has received a number of inquiries
from developers requesting a copy of the housing market
study. The study can be used by developers to meet a
requirement of lending institutions to conduct market studies
on various housing projects when the developer is attempting
to acquire financing. You will recall the City appropriated
$10,000.00 for said study and retained Empire Economics,
Inc., to conduct same.
Because of the cost involved and the fact we cannot afford to
give out copies of the report free of charge, I recommend the
adoption and implementation of the rates contained in the
attached resolution.
Adoption of the resolution by the Mayor and Common council
would authorize the Director of Community Development to
charge for copies of the housing market study in accordance
with the attached rates.
