RESOLUTION NO. 84-197
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 10584
ENTITLED IN PART "A RESOLUTION . . . ESTABLISHING . . . EMPLOYER-EMPLOYEE
RELATIONS. . ."; TO CLARIFY THE DEFINITION OF EMPLOYEE, MANAGEMENT AND
MIDDLE-MANAGEMENT AND TO REFLECT CHANGES IN DEPARTMENTS, DIVISIONS AND TITLES
HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Resolution No. 10584, Section 3, Subsection (F-1) is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"(F-1) EMPLOYEE, MIDDLE-MANAGEMENT - Means any employee, except a
person heretofore designated by Resolution as Management or Confidential,
regardless of job description, having authority in the interest of the City
to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, re-
assign, reward, or discipline employees, or the responsibility to assign work
to and direct them, or to adjust their grfevances, or to effectively recommend
any of the foregoing, if the exercise of such authority or the making of any
such recommendation is not of a merely routine or clerical nature, but re-
quires the use of independent judgement."
SECTION 2. Resolution No. 10584, Section 17.6, Subsection (A) i.s
amended to read as follows:
"(A) Middle-Management employees, as defined is Section 3 hereof, shall
include those individuals performing the functions or occupying the positions
as listed below and are a part of the Middle-Management unit:
Building Maintenance Supervisor
Central Printing Services Supervisor
Central Stores Supervisor
Chief Dispatcher
Clerical Operations Supervisor
Community Center Manager I
Community Center Manager II
