Council approved, in concept, the resident permit
parking program, and the City Attorney was directed
to prepare the necessary ordinance amendment.
5/11/87
Council adopted Ordinance No. MC-590, permitting the
exemption to parking restrictions when permitted by
resolution. .

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 8234 ENTITLED IN PART "A RESOLUTION . .
ESTABLISHING PARKING TIME LIMITATIONS UPON CERTAIN DESIGNATED
STREETS OR ALLEYS, OR PORTIONS THEREOF. . ."; AUTHORIZING THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF A RESIDENT PERMIT PARKING PROGRAM IN THE
RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD SOUTH OF ST. BERNARDINE'S HOSPITAL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE

SECTION 1. Resolution No. 8234 is amended by adding

thereto section Nine to read:
"SECTION NINE. In accordance with Section 10.16.010,
Article I, of the San Bernardino Municipal
Code, it is hereby
found and declared that the public convenience and necessity
require that parking be limited to a period of time no longer
than two hours between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on
any day, except Saturday and Sunday, upon those streets,
alleys or parking facilities, or portions thereof, or other
City property hereinafter designated, except that preferential
parking privilege shall be given to residents adjacent to such
streets and portions thereof, under which such residents may
be issued permits which shall exempt them from the parking
prohibitions or restrictions of this section, to wit:
(1) BROADMOOR BOULEVARD
(a) Between Twentieth Street and a distance of 250
feet to the south.
(2) PARKSIDE DRIVE
(a) Between Twentieth Street and a distance of 250
feet to the south.
(3) KENWOOD AVENUE
