STAFF REPORT
APPROVAL OF $2,500 FROM CITY
PROMOTIONAL FUND FOR GRAND OPENING
OF SECCOMBE LAKE
For the Grand Opening of Seccombe Lake on Saturday, June 20, 1987, numerous
attractions are planned. The Sun has agreed to co-sponsor with advertising,
publicity and helium-filled balloons. Most local groups are willing to donate
their services. However, a fireworks, display will cost $1.000; a sound system
for the Pavilion will cost $550 for installation and removal; a Chinese/Viet-
namese band from Monterey Park with a local singer will cost $400; a Dixieland
Band will cost $200; a $350 exigency amount is included. The complete program
with barbershop quartets, mariachis, ballet, choral groups, games. exhibits.
displays, fishing derby. art exhibits. ribbon cutting, Norton AFB Honor Guard
and much more will run from 9:00am to sunset.
