sistant - Richard Bennecke; Frank Hernandez, John Placencia,
David Porter, Les Debritz.
I 1. SOFTBALL FEES AND ADULT SPECIAL INTEREST PROGRAMS
Item continued. The survey requested was received by the
Committee. The Committee directed the survey be sent out and
results be returned to Ways & Means Committee the first
meeting in July.

2. SOCIAL SERVICES FUNDING PROPOSALS - Councilwoman
Estrada excused herself on this issue due to a possible
conflict of interest. The Committee recommended total
funding of $60,000. Parks, Recreation & Community Services
will apply the same formula as last year to determine the
amount each organization will receive. The Committee further
recommended that Parks, Recreation & Community Services
coordinate with the City Attorney on a resolution that would
announce a three-year method of City assistance with cutoff
of funds at the end of the third year -- the first year 100',
the second year ___' and the third year ___'.
I 3. PROPOSAL TO CONTRACT WITH THE SAN BERNARDINO AREA
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING A CONVEN-
TION AND VISITOR BUREAU Item continued. The Committee
recommended further study with additional funding alterna-
tive. The Deputy City Administrator for Development and the
Mayor's Executive Assistant will provide assistance to the
Chamber Committee. The Committee was not in favor of raising
the bed tax.
