The following are justifications for classified appointments, promotions and other
personnel actions to be reviewed by the Mayor and Common Council at the November
6,2000 Council meeting.

6. Fire Prevention Officer (Duoree. D.) - Out of Phase Merit Increase
FIRE
Out of Phase Merit increase is requested to raise employee's salary at least 5% higher
than the new Fire Prevention Officer's he is providing training too. Doug Dupree is
highly deserving of a merit increase. He is a very good worker, with a great attitude and
is a consistent and hard worker, with a high level of experience.

vacated the position. It is critical to the successful operation of this
department to maintain this position in a filled capacity to provide
expeditious customer service and telephone support to City
Departments and the general public.
