Penman, City Attorney July 20, 2000 August 21, 2000 Ordinance of the City of San Bernardino Amending Section 8.30.130 ofthe San Bernardino Municipal Code relating to the shifting of duties to assess costs. Due to the shift in duties in confirming assessments and recording liens in the proposed amended chapter 3.68, section 8.30.130 also must be amended to reflect the shift in duties. The proposed amended section 8.30.130 shifts the current administrative duties from the City Clerk to the Code Compliance Division. The substance of the section will not change. THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 4 5 6 SECTION 1. Section 8.30.130 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 7 8 Section 8.30.130 Assessment of Costs Against Property. 9 10 The confirmed cost of abatement of a nuisance upon any lot or parcel of land shall constitute a special assessment against the respective lot or parcel of land to which it relates; and, after its recording, as thus made and confirmed, the same shall constitute a lien on the property in the amount of the assessment.
