Synopsis of Previous Council action:
05-01-89 - - Resolution No. 89-119 adopted awarding a contract to
Inland Overhead Door Company, for the low bid price of
$27,721. 00.
06-19-89 - - Change Order No. One approved, to authorize bringing
the overhead doors up to good working condition, for
an increase of $9,453.75 in the contract price.
07-02-90 - - Change Order No. Two approved, to extend the contract
for a one-year period, from 7-1-90 to 6-30-91, at no
adjustment in the contract prices.
04-24-91 - - Change Order No. 3 approved, to extend the contract
for a one-year period, from 7-1-91 to 6-30-92, at no
adjustment to the contract prices.

CITY OF SAN BERNOtDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
Inland Overhead Door Company has a contract with the City
to maintain electrical and manually operated roll-up doors at
various City buildings. This is a highly specialized mainten-
ance, which the Contractor has performed in a very satisfactory
manner.
An inquiry was sent to this Contractor asking if they
would be willing to accept an extension of one year on this
contract and, if so, under what conditions. Inland Overhead Door
Company responded that they would be willing to accept an
extension on their contract, at no increase in the unit prices.
Costs incurred for services under this contract will be
charged to Object Codes 53105 and 53150, "Building Maintenance,"
for the City facilities listed below:

RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT WITH INLAND OVERHEAD
DOOR COMPANY RELATING TO THE PROVISION OF MAINTENANCE OF OVERHEAD
DOORS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is
hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of said
Ci ty, a Second Amendment to Contract dated May 1, 1989, with
9 Inland Overhead Door Company, relating to the provision of
10 Maintenance of Overhead Doors at Various Locations, per Plan No.
11 7663, a copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and
12 incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth at
length.
SECTION 3.
The authorization to execute the above
referenced agreement is rescinded if the parties to the agreement
fail to execute it wi thin sixty (60) days of the passage of this
resolution.

SECOND AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT
This Contract Amendment, made and entered into this
day of , 19____, by and between the City of San
Bernardino, a Municipal Corporation, 300 North "D" Street, San
Bernardino, California 92418 (City) and INLAND OVERHEAD DOOR
COMPANY, A California Corporation, 12401 South La Cadena Drive,
Colton, California, 92324 (Contractor).
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the parties hereto entered into that certain
Contract dated May 1, 1989, relating to the provision of
Maintenance of Overhead Doors at Various Locations, per Plan No.
7663; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 extended the contract from
July 1, 1990, to June 30, 1991, Change Order No. 3 extended the
~ontract from July 1, 1991, to June 30, 1992, and Change Order
No. 4 extended the contract from July 1, 1992, to June 30, 1993;
and
WHEREAS, the amendment to contract as authorized by
Resolution No. 93-68, adopted on 3-22-93, extended the term from
7-01-93 to 6-30-94, and added 12 screens at Carousel Mall to the
contract; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire now to amend said Contract to
extend the term of the Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree, as follows:
A. The Contract shall be extended for a period of one
year from July 1, 1994, to June 30, 1995, with no increase in the
contract unit prices.
