STAFF REPORT
Mayor Tom Minor received a letter of resignation from Juan Gonzalez,
effective May 31, 1994; he stated the reason for his resignation is
that he and his family are relocating to San Luis Obispo. Therefore,
it is respectfully requested that the Mayor and Common Council approve
the appointment of Luis Walter O'Campo to the Board of Water Commissioners.

4/84 to 8/92: Bills Transmission Service Inc., Owner/
Operator: Transmission and General Auto Repair Service
Sold repair service to customers, assigned work to seven
employees, purchased parts from numerous suppliers,
administered all payroll, FDIC, Workers' Compensation,
State and Federal Taxes. Interviewed and hired all
employees and also terminations. Applied all OSHA and
Department of Health and Welfare Hazard Waste Programs.
Attended numerous courses and seminars on transmission
repair and update, sales, marketing and small business

administered by Automatic Rebuilder Associations (ATRA),

to introduce new product line of Minolta Copiers and
Hassler Mailing E9Uipment in the central to eastern
Kansas area. Ass~gned ten sales territories, instructed
on proper product application and market share. We were
attempting a 27% share of the market we went after, we
compiled a gross in a six month sales periOd of approx.
$250,000.00, with the sale costs of 2.5%.
9/82 to 11/83: Account Executive, KTSB-TV, NBC
Affiliate, Topeka, Kansas: Assigned account list doing
less then $50,000.00 per year in advertising. Drew on
existing account list and built to an annual billing in
the one year period of $325,000.00. I applied for and
was hired for this position because of my prior proven
sales ability and my desire to sell a non-tangable
product. I wanted to improve my sales ability in all
facets of the occupation. .
4/79 to 8/82: Pitney Bowes Corp., Topeka, Kansas: Sale of
Postage Meters, Cop~ers, Inserting Machines, Folding and
Imprinting Equipment and Mailroom Furniture. Met and
exceeded monthly quota of $30,000,00 on all but three
occassions in my three year with Pitney Bowes Corp.

state of Colorado and section of western Kansas. We
dealt primarily in packaging products and in products
that required polyurethane (foam) applications. Our

Honeywell Electronics, IBM Corp. the Federal Highway
Dept., State Dept. of Fish and Game and the Federal
Department of Reclamation. We also sold to retail
outlets such as SS Kresge Compo (K-Mart), Sears and
