Synopsis of Previous Council action:
10-19-87 -- Allocation of $100,000 from Federal-Aid Urban Funds,
and $2,500 from City Funds, to Account No. 242-362-
57664, approved.
Finding made of need for health & safety reasons.
Negative Declaration adopted.
Plans approved and authorization granted to advertise
for bids when sufficient construction engineering
personnel are available.
Resolution No. 88-465 adopted authorizing execution
of Program Supplement No. 51.
Resolution No. 89-48 adopted, awarding a contract for
the low bid price of $86,000.

Recommended motion:
That the work performed by the Contractor for the installation of
traffic signals at 40th Street and Mt. View Avenue, in accordance
with Plan No. 7382; be approved and acceptedl and that final pay-

STAFF REPORT
All work required under this contract was satisfactorily
completed as of 8-25-89.
The contract was awarded for the low bid price of
$86,000.00. The final actual contract price is $85,250.00, due
to the assessment of $750 liquidated damages for three additional
days used to complete the work in excess of the time allowed in
the special provisions.
We recommend that the work be approved and accepted, and
that final payment be authorized at the expiration of the lien
period.
