Allocation of $68,650, for removal of architectural
barriers - Phase II, approved in 1987/88 CDBG Pro-
gram.
Finding made of need for health and safety reasons.
June, 1987
Recommended motion:
That the plans for removal of architectural barriers at Lytle Creek
Park, Phase II, in accordance with Plan No. 7770 be approved; and
the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be authorized to advertise
for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for the removal of architectural barriers at Lytle
Creek Park have been prepared by the Engineering Division, and
the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The project con-
sists, in general, of construction of a new concrete block rest-
room building, to replace the existing structure that is not
accessible to the handicapped, and modifications to the Community
Center.
Listed below is an estimate of the total estimated
project costs:
Construction Contract $ 61,982
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1852) 12,850
Sub-Total $ 74,832
Contingencies (10%):1: 7,168
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 82,000
An amount of $68,650 in CDBG Funds was allocated, under
Account No. 121-544-638, in the 1987/88 Budget. Supplemental
funds in the amount of $13,350 have been provided by the
Comnununity Development Department from available balances from
other projects.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids. This project and removal of
architectural barriers at Wildwood Park will be incorporated into
one contract.
