between Rialto Avenue and Belleview Street, West of Pennsylvania
Avenue.

STAFF REPORT
The City of San Bernardino constructed the Rialto Avenue over-
pass in the late 1950's and early 1960's. In order to do the
work, it was necessary to acquire some additional land of which
there are several parcels that are remainders, one of which is
the parcel in question.
A request was received from the adjoining property owner to
sell the real property in question. (Please see attached.)
The area of the parcel is approximately 12,000 square feet.
Section 404 of the City Charter states that if real property is
being sold and has a value exceeding $2,000.00, the property
must go to bid.
We are unaware of any present or prospective use of this parcel
for public purposes.
The funds used for this project came from State Crossing Funds.
We recommend that the proceeds be deposited in our Street
Construction Fund.

Dear Mr. Little,
I nm inquiring about a possible purchase of City property. Our company
currently owns property located at 1905 W. Rialto Ave. This property is
bordered by Rialto, Pennsylvania, and Be11eview Ave. The City of San
Bernardino, to my knowledze, owns the western tip of this triangular pro-
perty,
Approximately three years ago we made improvements on our property and
we are now in a position to expand those improvements. We feel it would
be advantageous to both, De Witt's Paint and the City of San Bernardino,
to negotiate a purchase price of this adjoining property,
We would expect a nominal purchase price of this parcel. In return, we
would be responsible for street improvements to the parcel to coincide
with our immediate plans of improvement and expansions. I must stress
that this parcel is mostly useless to both concerns, except for enhancing
the beautification of this area through the completion of street improve-
ments and landscaping.
If your reply is favorable, we ask that you include the following infor-
mation for us to determine the feasibility of this project:
1. Selling price.
2. Street improvement requirements.
3. Utility poles, street signs, or other regulatory signs that would
be required or relocated.
4. Landscape.
5. Dedication.
