Since Councilman Ralph Hernandez has submitted his resigna-
tion from all committee assignments, I would like to make the
following recommendations to fill those vacancies and the vacan-
cies created by Councilman Robert A. Castaneda's departure.
The Ways and Means Committee, Redevelopment Committee and
RDA Vice Chairman recommendations have already been made and
passed by Council action.
The fOllowing recommendations are made:
Personnel Committee -
Replace Councilman Hernandez with Councilman Marks
Transportation Committee -
Replace Councilman Castaneda with Councilwoman Estrada
Solid Waste Committee -
Replace Councilman Hernandez with Councilwoman Estrada
"E" Street/City Revitalization Committee -
Replace Councilman Castaneda with Councilman ~
Housing Committee/Low/Moderate Income -
Replace Councilman Castaneda with Councilwoman Estrada
Replace Councilman Hernandez with Councilman Strickler
Since the Legislative Review Committee has assumed responsi-
bility of reviewing the locomotive removal, I would recommend that
the Ad Hoc Committee be dissolved.
These are my recommendations. Please consider them. If you
have other recommendations, please let me know. If I do not re-
ceive any correspondence regarding these recommendations, they
will be made at the June 17 Council Meeting. In the meantime,
prior to official Council action, the named people will be invited
to sit in any meeting between now and June l7.
