STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-85-17
The proposed purchase is for Custom Library Technical Furniture. The furni-
ture is to be utilized in the daily operations of the new library. At the
request of the Department, appropriate specifications were prepared, published
and furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly opened and declared on
April 16, 1985. The following is a summary of bids received.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A
CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERING OF LIBRARY TECHNICAL
FURNITURE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATION F-85-17
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO THAT BURT C. GENTLE CO.
is the lowest and best bidder for the furnishing and delivering
of Library Technical Furniture - Items 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 at a total cost of
of $17,704,12
in accordance with Specification No. F-85-17;that all other bids
therefor are hereby rejected; that the contract therefor is here-
by awarded to said bidder; and that the Mayor of the City of San
Bernardino is hereby directed to execute said contract.
