STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-85-14
The proposed purchase is for dismantle, reinforce, refinish.and re-installation
of existing Library bookshelves. The bookshelves are to be utilized in daily
operations of the new library. At the request of the Department, appropriate
specifications were prepared, published and furnished to area suppliers. Bids
were publicly opened and declared on April 16, 1985. The following is a summary
of bids received.

Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the City Librarian who concurs,
that the bid of Burt C. Gentle Co. meets specifications and requirements. It
is therefore recommended that the bid be accepted for contract. Funding is
State Grant and RDA Bonds.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A CONTRACT
FOR THE DISMANTEL, REINFORCE, REFINISH, AND RE-INSTALLATION OF EXIST-
ING LIBRARY BOOKSHELVES IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION NO. F-85-14
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO THAT BURT C. GENTLE. CO.
is the lowest and best bidder for the dismantle, reinforce, refinish
and re-installation of existing library bookshelves for a total cost
of $49,877.00 in accordance with Specification No. F-85-14; that all
other bids therefor are hereby rejected; that the contract therefor
is hereby awarded to said bidder; and that the Mayor of the City of
San Bernardino is hereby directed to execute said contract.
