STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-85-13
The proposed purchase is for a Multi-Channel Voice Logging Recorder System,
to be utilized in daily operations by the Police Department. At the request
of the department, appropriate specifications were prepared, published and
furnished to area suppliers. Bids were publicly opened and declared on
April 4, 1985. The following is a summary of bids received.

Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Department Technical Commit-
tee and Chief of Police who concur, that the bid of Dictaphone Company meets
specifications and requirements. It is therefore recommended that the bid
be accepted for contract. The equipment is in the 1984/85 budget.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO THAT DICTAPHONE, A PITNEY. BOWES COMPANY.
7 is the lowest and best bidder for the furnishing and delivering
8 of a Multi-Channel Voice Logging Recorder System at a total cost of
9 $42,751.92
10 in accordance with Specification No.F-85-13; that all other bids
11 therefor are hereby rejected; that the contract therefor is here-
12 by awarded to said bidder; and that the Mayor of the City of San
13 Bernardino is hereby directed to execute said contract.
