STAFF REPORT
The existing basketball court standards at Rio Vista Park were not designed for the
heavy duty use they have received and have quickly deteriorated since there instal-
lation two years ago. The proposed replacement material is superior in quality and will
provide much more durability and an added margin of safety due to its design. This
equipment will be provided by the manufacturer at their cost and free of tax and
shipping charges provided it may be delivered during the period that their delivery
trucks are in the area.
This project has been coordinated with the Council Office.
JUSTIFICATION FOR PLACEMENT ON THE SUPPLEMENTAL AGENDA
This item needs to be placed on the Supplemental Agenda in order to expedite purchase.
Failure to purchase these items expeditiously may result in an increase in cost of
$800 due to the manufacturers delivery schedule.
