CIO OF SAN BERNARDIQo - REQUOT FOR COUNCIL ACQoN
STAFF REPORT
As part of Tentative Tract No. 11358, a grade crossing was
proposed on the Southern Pacific Railline at "K" Street.
Appl ication to the Public Utilities Commission for an order
authorizing this project was filed in January, 1982 by the
City Attorney. The Public Utilities Commission will not
accept such applications from private developers, therefore,
the City was designated as the lead agency.
The authorizing order was issued on September 8, 1982, to be
in effect for two years. After the order was issued,
processing of Tract 11358 was delayed due to the slowdown in
the economy. Presently, the developer has renewed interest
in the completion of this project and requests that the City
apply for an extension of time for the authorizing order
which expires in September, 1984.
