STAFF REPORT
During the construction of street improvements at
University Parkway and College Avenue, a portion of the exist-
ing pavement on College Avenue was discovered to be temporary
cold mix. This pavement was placed by a developer in order to
feather into his permanent pavement. In order to achieve an
acceptable street, it was necessary to remove the temporary
material and replace with permanent paving.
Contract Change Order No. One authorizes the Contractor
to remove and dispose of the existing temporary A.C. pavement
and prepare the subgrade to the proper depth, for an increase
in the price of $1,107.68, increasing the contract price from
$289,257.00 to $290,364.68.
This final estimate of cost contains an amount of
$10,743.00 for contingencies, which can be used to finance this
additional cost.
We recommend that Change Order No. One be approved.
