Synopsis of Previous Council action:
At the meeting of the Legislative Review Committee held May 19,
1988 the proposed policy relative to the absence of the Mayor
and Mayor Pro-Tempore was approved.
Recommended motion:
That the policy set forth on the attached document relative to
the absence of the Mayor and Mayor Pro-Tempore be adopted.

PROPOSED POLICY RELATIVE TO ABSENeE OF
MAYOR AND MAYOR PRO-TEMPORE
In order to insure orderly and continuous leadership, the
~ayor, through a designated staff member and the Mayor Pro-
Tempore or first alternate, through the Council designated
staff member, will maintain an itinerary of daily activity.
