After receiving additional information on March 28, 1988, the Cdmmittee recommended that a public hearing be scheduled and that the Mayor and Common Council consider the proposed sale of the temporary classrooms to the Home of Neighborly Services. Given the age (approximately 30-35 years old) and condition of the buildings, the value of each is estimated to be $900.00, the sum of twelve (12) monthly lease payments at $75,00 per month, I recommend adoption of the form motion, Development KJH/lab/0908 4-22-88 75.0264 , C' C I T Y o F ~ N B ERN ~ 0 INTER~ICE MEMORAN~ 8803-1118 I N 0 o TO: James E. Staff contacted the Educational Services and Business Service Departments of San Bernardino Unified School District (SBUSD) and two (2) private appraisers knowledgeable about the City's Community Development activities regarding the age, use, current condition, and estimated market value of the build- ings in question. School District officials indicated they do not have the capacity or expertise to assess the value of the buildings. The appraisers contact indicated the build- ings are of nominal value, Given the above and the age (approximately 30-35 years old) and condition of the buildings, it would be my recommendation to sell the buildings to the Home for the annual value of the lease, which I believe to be $75.00 per annum, Please call me at 5065 if additional information or clarifi- cation is required, ~~:~~ Director of Community Development KJH/lab 4-22-88 o o F ~ N B ERN ...
