STAFF REPORT

The project architect inadvertently neglected to specify
a finish for the heads and jambs of the roll-up doors and the
apparatus room. The heads and jambs as now constructed are wood
and do not match the exterior building architecture.
The architect has proposed a more durable aluminum
cover, painted to match the aluminum storefronts on both of
the vestibules, The Contractor has agreed to perform the work
for a cost of $1,859.00, increasing the contract price from
$786,831,00 to $788,690.00. The project contingencies of
$45,987.00 can be used to finance this change order.
We recommend that Change Order No. Four be approved,
SYNOPSIS OF PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION continued:
11-19-87 Resolution No. 87-378 adopted awarding contract to
Martin Jaska, Inc, for the low bid price of $869,000,00.
11-19-87 Change Order No, ONE approved, reducing the contract
price by $87,487.00, from $869,000.00 to $781,513.00.
01-04-88 --- Change Order No. Two approved, authorizin9 the
Contractor to install various items of work increasing
the contract price by $3,118.00, from $781,513.00 to
$784,631.00,
03-21-88 --- Change Order No, Three approved, authorizing the
Contractor to install seven solid block wall sections
increasing the contract price by $2,200.00 from

Building. The heads and jambs shall have a baked enamel
finish matching the storefronts on both vestibules.
This work shall be performed complete and in place for the
lump sum price of $1,859.00,
