CITY OF SAN BBRNQDINO - RBQUBST pQt COUNCIL ACTION AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE MONITORS FOR SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM. STAFF REPORT The federally funded Summer Lunch Program has been successfully operated for the past 13 years. During the summer of 1987, 30 feeding stations were established at locations in and around the City of San Bernardino. An avera!le of 1,700 meals per day were served. The Summer Lunch Program provides nutritional help to children who would otherwise be deprived of food assistance received at other times of the year under the National School Lunch Program. Six (6) Summer Lunch Monitors are needed. The monitors will be assigned to routes in various geographical areas in order that they may affect daily program checks at summer lunch sites. Salaries for the monitors will be at no cost to the city, as it is reimbursed from administrative cost of the Summer Lunch Program. April 26, 1988 75.0264
