Dated:4! rv i r ?:s , 1968 . ,""' ~- SPECIAL PROVISIONS SECTION GENERAL 1.01 General -- The work embodied herein shal I be done in accordance with the Standard Spccifications No. 2271, revised October 1966, of the City of San Bernardino, Department of Engineer- ing insofar as the same may apply, and as modified and in accordance with the fol lowing special provisions, 1.02 Place of Production/Manufacture -- In the performance of this contract, Contractor agrees to use or supply only such unmanu- factured materials, articles and suppl ies as have been produced in the United States, and only such manufactured materials, articles and supplies as have been manufactured in the United States sub- stantial Iy al I from materials produced in the United States, unless exempted from this requirement by Article I, Chapter 4, Division 5, Title I of the Government Code of Cal ifornia or by treaties or general trade agreements of the United States, 1.03 Conflicts -- In case of conflict between the Standard Specifications and these special provisions, the special provisions shall take precedence over and be used in I ieu of such conflicting portions. 1.04 State of Cal ifornia Requirements -- All work done within the right of way of Waterman Avenue (State Highway) shall comply with the requirements of the State Highway Encroachment Permit attached herewith and on file in the office of the City Engineer. SECT! ON II CONSTRUCTION DETAILS 2,01 Earthwork -- Earthwork involved shall conform to the pro- visions of Section I I of the Standard Specifications and the follow- ing Special Provisions. Payment for earthwork shall be made at the lump sum price stated In the contract and no additional allowance will be made therefore. Subgrade preparation shal I be in accordance Standard Specifications and the following Payment for subgrade preparation, including watering, shall be considered as included in other items of work and no additional allowance made therefore. 2.03 Miscellaneous Relocations -- Miscellaneous items indicated on the drawings shall be relocated and/or deposited on adjacent property as directed by the Engineer in the field.
