2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE
DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN RECORDS BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
4 SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
6 Bernardino do hereby approve the destruction by the Police
7 Department of certain records, more particularly described in
8 Exhibit "An, attached hereto and incorporated herein as fully as
9 though set forth at length.

SECTION 2. It is hereby found and determined that the
11 records are no longer needed, and they may be destroyed pursuant
12 to Government Code Section 34090, upon written consent of the City
13 Attorney.
14 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
15 adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
16

Departmental Receipts issued prior to 1/31/80
Traffic Citations dated prior to 1/31/82
Non-traffic Citations (except PC 488/415/594 when citation served
as complaint in lieu of arrest) dated prior to 1/31/82
Traffic Accident Reports (except fatals, manslaughters or when
in conjunction with or supplemental to an arrest) dated prior to 1/31/80
Incident Reports dated prior to 1/31/82
Missing Person Reports cleared and dated prior to 1/31/82
Each record scheduled for destruction falls within the category and retention
period as outlined on our retention. Microfilming and Destruction Schedule
previously approved by the City Attorney's Office as legally adequate.
