Designation of Voting Delegate for League of California Cities Annual
Conference December 18-20,2001, Sacramento, California
FROM:
DATE:
SUBJECT:
The League of California Cities Annual Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, December 18,
through Thursday, December 20,2001, in Sacramento, California. This year's Conference was
originally scheduled to take place September 14-18; however, it was postponed in the aftermath
of the September II th tragedy.
One very important aspect of the Annual Conference is the General Business Meeting when the
membership takes action on conference resolutions. Annual conference resolutions guide cities
and the League in efforts to improve the quality, responsiveness and vitality of local government
in California.
To expedite the conduct of business at the above-referenced policy-making meeting, the League
has requested that each City designate a voting representative and an alternate who will be
present at the Annual Business Meeting. Council Member Susan Lien is the only City official
attending from our city.
Request is hereby made to designate Council Member Susan Lien as the City of San
Bernardino's voting delegate at the League of California Cities Annual Conference in
Sacramento.
