Recommended Motion:
That a luncheon workshop be set for Monday, October 15, 2001, at 12:00 p.m. in the Economic
Development Agency (EDA) Boardroom to hear a presentation by Caltrans and SANBAG Staff
discussing the proposed street closure alternatives relative to the construction ofI-215. Staff will
also discuss the proposed development of the aesthetic/landscape master plan.

STAFF REPORT
Subiect:
Set luncheon workshop - October 15, 2001 at 12:00 p.m. in the EDA Boardroom - Presentation by
Caltrans and SANBAG.
Backl!round:
At the direction of the Council, requests to schedule luncheon workshops during Council
meetings shall be approved by the Council prior to agendizing the workshop.
Caltrans and SANBAG are in the process of performing the final design for the first two
segments of the 1-215 project Due to the need to reconstruct several interchange bridges, some
east/west City streets will need to be closed during the construction.
Additionally, the City has just hired the architectural firm of Richard Pope and Associates to
develop an Aesthetic/Landscaping Master Plan for this corridor, which is to be incorporated in
the final design by Caltrans/SANBAG.
Financial Imnact:
The luncheon workshop presentation shall be made at no cost to the City.

Boardroom for presentation by Caltrans and SANBAG.
