2. Equipment Mechanic I (Chandler. David) - Appointment
PUBLIC SERVICES
The incumbent will provide maintenance service to the City's fleet. This
employee, combined with the rest of the maintenance staff, ensure employees
throughout the City are driving safe vehicles in good repair, This position
reduces the need to send vehicle repairs to outside vendors at a higher cost.
7. Disptacher" (Ware, Tanisha) - Promotion
POLICE
Tanisha Ware has been a Dispatcher I since July 1999. This promotion to
Dispatcher II is an automatic promotion based on time served and good
standings. She is a fully-trained dispatcher. This Dispatcher " position is a
training position (since in the Budget Reduction Package of 1997/98, the Senior
Dispatcher positions were eliminated), and this position is necessary to train new
Dispatchers, Their knowledge and expertise in this area is necessary in the
Dispatch Center.
8. Lead Maintenance Worker (Baeza. Sr.. Gilbert) - Promotion
PUBLIC SERVICES
The incumbent has been working in a higher-acting capacity in this position for
more than one year, resulting in salary savings in his permanent appointment as
Heavy Equipment Operator. The permanent appointment to Lead Maintenance
