In February of 1991, the Community Development Commission appropriated
$102,177 for Phase I of the expansion of Pioneer Cemetery. Subsequent
to this action, the Council requested and received reports from the
City Administrator regardina the commercial viability of the subject
property. After additional discussion and consideration, the Council
eventually authorized the Director of Public Works to advertise for
bids.
Bids have been received and set forth in agenda item 17 is the City
lD&ineer's anslysla and justification for aupplemental funcUna. In
essence, to award a contract of $135,000, an additional $17,006 is
needed to supplement the original appropriation of $102,177 plus the
15,187 to be contributed by the Cemetery fund.
Based upon the foregoina, staff recommends, ataff recommends adoption
of the form aotion.
