01-03-90 --Resolution 90-2 adopted revising the amount ~f an infra-
structure fee to be levied.
06-25-90 --Resolution 90-253 adopted revising the amount of the
infrastructure fee to be levied, from $7,375 to $6,068,
due to deletion of water system.
11-19-90 --Ordinance adopted relating to the time for payment of
the Verdemont Infrastructure Fee.
01-07-91-- Verdemont Infrastructure Fee 1990/91 Budget (Fund No.

That Contract Change Order No. Four to the contract with Hatich
Corporation, for the Street Improvements on Belmont Avenue, in
accordance with Plan Nos. 8505, be approved; to authorize the
Contractor to install a Street Lighting service pedestal and
addi tional conduit and wiring, for an increase in the contract
price of $7,464.52; from $410,141.64 to $417,606.16.

REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
The plans for the improvement of Belmont Avenue direct the
installation of street lights. These street lights were to be
served from an existing service cabinet, at the northeast corner
of Belmont Avenue and Churchill Street.
Our Street Lighting Policies and Procedures call for
street lights to be served with 240 volts. However, during con-
struction, it was discovered that the existing service cabinet
could only provide 120 volts.
In order to provide 240 volt service, for the street
lights installed under this contract, the Contractor was required
to install a new service cabinet. Conduit and conductors were
also necessarily installed from the intersection of Olive Avenue
and Belmont Avenue, which was the nearest point that Edison could
provide access to their system.
The total net cost for this extra work, based upon a time
and material basis, is $7,464.52, in accordance with provisions
of Section 3-3, "Extra Work," of the Standard Specifications.
The total estimated project cost included an amount of
$72,135 for contingencies, which can be used to finance the cost
for this change order.
We recommend that Contract Change Order No. 4 be approved.

pedestal, conduit and wiring, as necessary, in order to tie into a
new electrical service point, located at the southeast corner of
Olive and Belmont Avenues, for a total cost of $7,464.52.
