Members of the D.A.R.E. unit at the Police Department are
scheduling a fund raiser. This fund raiser is in the form of a
5k run. We are naming the event "Dash For D.A.R.E.". It will
take place October 25, 1992, in the Hospitality Lane area. The
run will be in conjunction with the local businesses and
restaurants in the area along with the annual "A Taste of
Hospitality". The run will also kick off the City's Red Ribbon
Week events.
I would like the City to co-sponsor the event to allow City
permits and fees to be waived.
