Due to the complexity of completing the demolition process within the downtown
business district, staff has deemed it prudent to provide a fifteen percent
(15%) contingency, plus an estimated $7,500.00 allowance for the costs
associated with the mitiaation of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, potential
"after hour" and/or weekend work, and extraordinary safety measures which
cannot be quantified at this time.
Based upon the thorouah examination of the method and content of the proposals
received, staff recommends the award of said Demolition Contract to Shrosbree
Construction, the lowest responsible bidder, for an amount not to exceed
$158,425.
Staff recommends adoption of the form motion.
