Recommended motion: 1. That the plans for installation of guard rail on portions of Little Mountain Drive, Rancho Avenue, and Waterman Avenue, in accordance with Plan No. 8262, be approved; and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be authorized to advertise for bids. 2. Dr. , Rancho Ave. & Waterman Aveliinance: Council Notes: 75-0262 Agenda Item No /.2- CITY'OF SAN BERN(J'DINO - REQUEST CfI COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT Plans for installation of guard rail on portions of Little Mountain Drive, Rancho Avenue, and Waterman Avenue, have been prepared by Engineering Division personnel and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists, in general, of installing metal beam guard rail at selected locations to improve traffic safety. Below is an estimate of the total project cost: Construction Contract Preliminary Engr. (W.O. 1888, 1889 & 1891) Construction Engr. The above listed allocations reflect the preliminary estimates of cost on the Field Review Forms. Caltrans has approved the final total estimate of $319,000, which constitutes authority to increase the amount of Federal-Aid Funds for this project. Supplemental funds in the amount of $10,200 will be needed to finance the City's share of 10%. It is proposed that these supplemental funds be provided from available fund balance in the Gas Tax Fund (126). We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted to advertise for bids. 7-22-92 75.0264
