The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department has
provided a Head Start Program at Delmann Heights Community
Center since 1978 with an agreement with City Schools for
lunches and snacks since that time. This program currently
accommodates 15 morning and 15 afternoon pre-schoolers, ages
3-5 and runs September through June.
This proposed agreement includes a $.12 increase for lunches
(from $.98 to $1.10). The cost of the snacks remains the same
as last year ($.25). The program is fully funded through a
Federal Head Start Grant.
Approval is recommended.
