STAFF REPORT
A petition has been received by this office requesting a change in the scope of
the assessment district for the maintenance of landscaping to include those
certain open space and fire break areas in Tracts 12955, 12956, 12957, 12958,
11324 and 11328. The scope of the original district only included the
maintenance of landscaping along Kendall Drive and along what is now known as
"F" Street and 40th Street within the boundaries of the district. The district
is already in place to provide the maintenance of landscaping and it is the
purpose of this action to amend the scope of the district to include the
additional maintenance areas.
The signatures affixed to the referenced petition have been checked and found to
represent the owners of 100 percent of the area of the property lying within
the proposed area liable to be assessed for the proposed expanded maintenance.
This request has been reviewed by the Director of Public Works and the Director
of Parks, Recreation and Community Services and both agree that the scope of the
district should be expanded to include these areas.
The developer has already up-fronted the cost of the proceedings for the change
in scope of the 01 s tri ct.
After authori zation to proceed has been obtained, the project change will be
submitted to the Environmental Review Committee for review.
