Resolution No. 87-70 adopted ratifying the award of a contract to Wyatt
Construction for the low bid price of $172,404.54.
Recommended motion:
That Change Order No. One to the contract with Wyatt Construction,
for construction of a clubhouse for Fiscalini Field, in accordance
with Plan No. 7154-A, be approved; to authorize the items of work
required by the County Health Department for the concession sales
and storage areas, on a time and materials basis at an estimated
increase in the contract price of $1,500.00, from $172,404.54 to
$173,904.54.

STAFF REPORT
The County Health Department has inspected the concession sales and
storage areas in the clubhouse for compliance with applicable codes for the
intended use. It was detennined that a sink was needed for washing utensil s,
a closure for the door between the areas, window screens, weatherstripping over
the roll-up doors to seal out rodents, and a locked cabinet for storage of
poisons (cleaning agents, etc.). The estimated cost of these items of work is
$1,500.00.
A temporary clearance has been granted by the County Health Department
for operation of this concession facility. Health and Safety concerns require
that these items be expedited.
Supplemental funds will be needed to fully finance the total cost of
constructing the clubhouse. Approval of Change Order No. One will necessitate
increasing the amount of supplemental funds by an estimated amount of $1,500.00.
Since these items are a requirement for the concession area to be
operated in the manner intended by the Spirit Club, we recommend that Change
Order No. One be approved.
URGENCY CLAUSE: Temporary permission has been granted for the
operation of this concession area. The City has a responsibility
to address these items as quickly as possible, for Health and
Safety issues. Closure of this facility would seriously impact
the sale of food and beverage at this baseball park.

Gentlemen:
You are hereby authorized and directed to perform the following listed items of
work:
1. Install a compartment commercial stainless steel sink, with acceptable
splash protection.
2. Install closure on door to storage area.
3. Install windowscreens, with a maximum 216 square inch opening.
4. Install weatherstripping at the top of 3 roll-up doors to seal the areas
from entry by vermin.
5. Install locking 3'x5' cabinet for poison storage.
These items shall be done on a time and materials basis, as provided in Section 3.-3,
"Extra Work" of the Standard Specifications; at an estimated additional cost of
$1,500.00.
