San Bemardino, CA. 92410
I was bom in San Bemardino and attende4 all local schools, graduating
from San Bernardino High in 1947..Following graduation I served in the
United States Marine Air Corp.
I retired from the U.S. Government Civil Service with the U.S. Airforee
on February 29, 1984 with 34 years of dedicated and outstanding service
in the field of Tele-Communication. The first 15 years were spent in the
area of installation of new and rehabilitation, of telephone switching
equipment for various Air Foree installation in the States of California,
:,,;'va.-la., ,u'l:<.una., Wyoming, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii.
During this same period. I was also required to conduct annual inspection
and depot level maintenance on tele-communications ~ith radar sites in these
same western states. I would conduct on the job training for the assigned
military personnel of these respective communication squadrons.
On May of 1965. I applied for and was promoted to the position of Telephone
Central office Supervisor (WS-l0) for the 2067th Communications Squadron at
George Air Foree Base, Calif. As supervisor of the 1800 line telephone switching
equipment for the base, I was able to apply my previous experience of depot
level maintenance along with a constant training program to eventually
elliminate those teams scheduled to vist G.A.F.B. to conduct their depot
level maintenance vist and work on our equipment.
I required close inspections of all assignments of telephone lines along
with records of cable pairs and telephone trouble reports to be supervised
by my senior military personnel assigned. The result of this proved to be
fruitful, as shown by outstanding annual inspection reports.
As a part-time assignment for the base I was selected as the Spanish
Speaking Program Coordinator with the office of Equal Employment Opportunity
(EEO) for all civilians assigned to George Air Force Base of Hispanio
Heritage.
With my wife Frances. We operated Eden~s Flower Shop at 796 N. Mt. Vemon
Ave. from Sept. 1981. I took care of the charge accounts, making all bank
deposits on a daily baeis, sending statements of charges to customers and
making deliveries. On October 31, 1985 we sold the Flower Shop.
Durillg my off-time in 1985 I attened the Anthony School of Real Estate
in Colton, and successfully passed. the California Real Estate examination
to obtain my California Real Estate License in November of 1985. I am
presently assooiated with Del Rosa Real Estate Offi~e at 2601 Del Rosa Ave.
in San Bemardino, California. M~tJt)lJ..~[fJo
