DESCRIPTION) Flnence: Council Notel: A.............. I........ 1\1... 9: CITO OF SAN BERNARDIt' - REQUE~ FOR COUNCIL ~N STAFF REPORT A petition of 16 signatures was received requesting that the 2-hour parking restriction recently installed, in the residential neighborhood south of St. Bernardine's Hospital, be removed because of undue hardship. Five residents in the petition originally presented the request for the 2-hour parking restriction. The purpose of the 2-hour parking restriction is to deter the hospital employees from parking in the residential area. The matter was discussed again at the Mayor's Traffic Safety Advisory Committee. The Committee concluded that the 2-hour parking restriction has been effective and should not be removed; the Committee also recommends that an optional resident permit parking program, similar to San Bernardino Valley College area, be established to provide parking privileges to local residents. The optional resident parking permit will be issued by the Public Buildings Division with a one time fee charge at $7.50 per permit, limited to two permits per residence. It is recommended that the optional resident permit parking program be adopted as presented. 3-24-87 75.0264 o (l) -4 X VI :of o o o BROAD MOOR PARKSIOE DR. We the Families. who live on "Peppertree Lane". between 18th and 20th Streets; and "20th Street". between Kenwood Avenue and Peppertree Lane. in San Bernardino; state that we do not feel the need for the "2 Hour" parkinll; signs that have been posted in our area because of St. 'Bernadine's "Parking Problem". We had little. or no problems when the Hospital's "Parkinll; Problem" came up. We feel therefore. we do not need these signs posted like other areas do.
