2. That Committee recommended actions be approved and appropri-

ATTENDEES: ,Councilman Jack Reilly, Chairman; Councilman Dan
Frazier; Councilwoman Esther Estrada; Ray Schweitzer, City
Administrator; Chief Burnett & Capt. Thomas, Police Depart-
ment; Bill Sabourin, Assistant City Attorney; M.J. Perlick,
Personnel Director; Phil Arvizo, Exec. Asst. to Council;
Richard Bennecke, Exec. Asst. to Mayor
1. REVIEW OF LABOR RELATIONS CONSULTANTS - The
tee will meet with four of the consultants from 8:00
12:00 noon on March 19 and make a recommendation

2. ADDITIONAL SERGEANT FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT AUTHORIZED
STRENGTH - The Committee recommended approval of the Sergeant
with no change in total police officer authorizations. The
position of sergeant is established and total number of
police officers is decreased by one.
3. CLERICAL SUPPORT FOR DEPUTY CITY ADMINISTRATOR
POSITIONS - The Committee recommended this be held in abey-
ance until full organizational study is complete.

5. ESTABLISHMENT OF CALIFORNIA CONSERVATION CORP SUPER-
VISOR AS A PERMANENT POSITION The Committee recommended
approval of this request in view of the justification pre-
sented.
6. NEW CITY ATTORNEY - The Committee recommended that
the present City Attorney decide whether the City Attorney-
elect should meet with the Committee on personnel matters
prior to June.
