STAFF REPORT
BID SPEC: F-87-20
The proposed purchase is for one (1) surburban wagon, to be utilized by the Fire
Department as a mobil command post in emergency and disaster situations.
At the request of the department, and in co-ordination with Deputy Fire Chief Richard
Moon, appropriate specifications were prepared, published and furnished to area vendors,
Bids were opened and publicly declared on February 17, 1987, the following is a summary
of bids received,

Eighteen bidders were solicited, only five responded, one with NO BID, four with a bid
price, thirteen vendors failed to return the "NO BID STATEMENT" in the bid package,
Specifications as bid have been reviewed with the Deputy Chief of the Fire Department,
who concurs that the bid of Richard Hibbard Chevrolet meets specifications and require- ..-.
ments,
It is therefore recommended that the bid be accepted for contract in accordance with
Municipal Code 3.04.070, D & F. The amount of $18,552.32 is available in the 1986/87
Fire Department Budget for this vehicle.

RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A BID TO RICHARD
HIBBARD CHEVROLET, INC, FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF ONE (1) NEW 1987
SUBURBAN WAGON TO BE UTILIZED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AS A MOBILE COMMAND
POST IN ACCORDANCE WITH BID SPECIFICATION F-87-20,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BER-
NARDINO AS FOllOWS:
SECTION 1. Richard Hibbard Chevrolet, Inc, is the lowest and best
bidder for the furnishing and delivery of one 1987 suburban wagon in accord-
ance with Bid Specification F-87-20 for the total amount of $18,522,32;
pursuant to this determination, the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized and
directed to issue a purchase order for said'one new 1987 suburban wagon to
said lowest and best bidder; such award shall only be effective upon the
issuance of a purchase order by the Purchasing Agent; and all other bids
therfor are hereby rejected,
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
meeting thereof, held on the
