The contract was awarded for the low bid price of $77,458.75. Contract Change Order No. One, for the relocation of a business sign, in- creased the contract price to $78,053.75, The actual final contract price is $80,696.75, due to an increase in the amount of asphalt concrete placed, over the original estimated amount for variable thickness pavement; and an increase in quantity of sidewalk concrete placed, in order to remove and replace existing sidewalk that had been damaged by tree root growth. We have reviewed these pay quantities and have determined them to be justified. Therefore, we recommend that the work be approved and accepted, and that final payment be authorized at the expiration of the 1 ien period. 3-10-87 75-0264
