Approved ITEM NO. 18,
Date
Following a recommendation by the Council Legislative Review
Committee, the Mayor and Common Council requested the
Planning Commission review the proposed ordinance amendment,
which would reduce the amount of parking spaces required for
medical and dental offices.
The proposed ordinance amendment is based in part upon a
comparison study prepared by the Planning Department of other
communities within the surrounding areas indicating a higher
parking ratio for the City of San Bernardino.
The amended ordinance would require 10 spaces
2,000 square feet of floor area plus 1 space
feet of the remaining gross floor area.
Ordinance specifies 10 spaces plus 1 space for
square feet of gross floor area.
The Environmental Review Committee, at their meeting of
January 22, 1987, determined that there were no significant
environmental effects and recommended adoption of a
negative declaration for Proposed Ordinance Amendment to
San Bernardino Municipal Code Section 19.56.050(D).
