Applicant hereby acknowledges that he has read and understands provisions of Section 16,16,040 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code pertaining to banners, Applicant also acknowledges that a $100.00 permit fee must be paid at time of application, which is refundable if the permit is not granted. Applicant further acknowledges that the City of San Bernardino is not responsible for loss or damage to the banner(s) placed hereunder. HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT The undersigned, hereinafter referred to es "Owner", hereby deposits with the City of San Bernardino, herein- after referred to as "City" , certain property intended for display/publio viewing. The property dllposlted with the City shall be held by City at the sole risk of the Owner thereof, and the City shall not be liable or oth__ responsible for injury, loss or destruction from any cause, whatever. Owner accepts full risk of any such loss. Owner understands that City is not guaranteeing or in any way assuring the sefekeeping of such property, and all risk of loss by fire, flood, eerthquake, theft, mysterious disappearance or any other causa is solely on the Owner. Owner agrees to hold City, its officers, employees and agents free and harmless from and ageinlt any such loss, injury or destruction of such property. Holcomb & The Common Council c/o Marshall Julian City Administrator 300 North "E" Street San Bernardino, CA 92418 Dear Mayor Holcomb: Arrowhead United Way's annual fundraising campaign begins on ~onday, September 18, 1989. with the traditional "Kickoff Luncheon". We are requesting assistance from the City of San Bernardino in publicizing our campaign again this year by hanging the "United Way" banner along the "E" Street bridge. The dates avaialb1e for our possible use are October 23, 1989, through November 6, 1989. We understand there is a fee of $100 for hangi-ng the banner, but since we are non~profit and on a tight budget, we are asking that the City of San Bernardino consider co-sponsoring this request. Is it possible, to have our request placed on the Council agenda for consideration at the September 18, 1989 meeting? On behalf of the volunteers and staff of Arrowhead United Way, iet me express our sincere appreciation for the support we have received from the city of San Bernardino.
