1. RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CALIFORNIA DESERT PROTEC-
TION ACT - Item continued.
2. ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 15.24 DEALING WITH PROPERTY
MAINTENANCE AND REQUIRED MINIMUM STANDARDS Committee
recommended approval of a version of proposed ordinances that
were changed to improve the effectiveness and enforceability
of the ordinance. It was further recommended that only the
changed proposed ordinance be presented for adoption at the
hearing on September 9, 1989.
3. LIEN COLLECTION AND METHODS OF CONTROL - Item con-
tinued.
4. REQUEST FOR WAIVER OF REQUIREMENT TO UNDERGROUND
UTILITIES - EXPANSION OF OMNITRANS FACILITY AT NORTHWEST
CORNER OF MEDICAL CENTER & 5TH STREET - Item continued.
5. ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.64.050 OF THE SAN
BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO FEES FOR APPEALS - Item
continued due to time constraint.
6. PROPOSED SCHOOL AT LITTLE LEAGUE/BELMONT, VERDEMONT
SCHOOL SITE - Committee directed the School District, City
Engineer and the Attorney's office to get together and work
out an appropriate reimbursement agreement to be brought back
to the Committee for review at the next meeting following the
drafting of the agreement for a recommendation to the full
Council.
7. REQUEST FROM KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS TO INCREASE NUMBER
OF BINGO SESSIONS PER WEEK - Committee recommended Mayor &
Council amend the ordinance to increase bingo sessions from
two to no more than three per week and to raise the prizes to
no more than $10,000 per session. Further, Committee

requested the City Administrator notify all organizations
sponsor1ng bingo that the amended ordinance will be placed on
the September 18, 1989 Council agenda for consideration for
adoption.
8. ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 19.50.080 TO THE CODE
RELATING TO HOME OCCUPATION PERMTS - Item was continued due
to time constraint.
9. PROPOSED BRIDGE AND THOROUGHFARE FEE - Item continued
due to time constraint.
10. ADJUSTMENT IN SEWER CONNECTION FEE - Item continued
due to time constraint.
11. TEMPORARY HIRES - Item continued.
