HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-059 2 3 4 5 6 7 RESOLUTION NO. 98-59 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AND YMCA OF SAN BERNARDINO VALLEY 8 Be it resolved by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino as follows: 9 10 SECTION I II (a) The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized and directed to 12 13 execute, on behalf of the City, the First Amendment to the agreement for Commumty 14 Development Block Grant funding with YMCA of San Bernardino Valley, which amendment is attached hereto as Exhibit "1", and is incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth at 15 16 length. PENMAN 24 City Attorney 25 26 By: 27 .L 28 -2- - 98-59 J FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE COMM:UNITY DEVELOPM:ENT BWCK GRANT PUBLIC SERVICE AGREEMENT TIllS FIRST AMENDMENT to Agreement 97-109 referred to as ("Amendment"), is made and entered into this 16TH day of FEBRUARY 1998 by and between the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a Municipal Corporation, referred to as ("City"), and YMCA OF SAN BERNARDINO VALLEY, a nonprofit community servIce organization, referred to as ("Subrecipient"). City and Subrecipient agree as follows: WITNESSETH Community Development Block Grant Whereas, City and Subrecipient have previously entered into agreement 97-109, dated JULY 1, 1997, referred to as ("Agreement"), for a YOUTH TrrEEN LEADERSHIP and Whereas, City and Subrecipient desire to amend said agreement to include the subrecipient's completion of the services; and Whereas, City and Subrecipient desire to increase the amount of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding in the amount of ONE THOUSAND AND NOIlOO Dollars (51,000.00) as part of the Fiscal Year 199611997 Mid year Reallocation process approved on January 12, 1998. Now therefore, in consideration of the mutual covenants herein set forth and the mutual benefit to be derived there from, the parties agree as follows: 1. Add to Section I (b) Recitals (Exhibit "A") 2. Change the first sentence in Section 2 Pl\YI11ents TNT:YMCA97AMND 97.109 - 98-59 , City shall reimburse Subrecipient for allowable costs, incurred under the scope of this Agreement within applicable Federal regulations, which have not been paid for. Reimbursement will be made, at least on a montWy basis, and the total of all reimbursements will not exceed NINETEEN THOUSAND AND NOIIOO ($19,000.00). IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Amendment to be executed on the date and year first hereinabove written. Funds will be used for: Partial Payment of salaries and benefits for the Program Director and Activities Coordinator. General office supplies (no equipment) Youth memberships (3) months to 1 year) for 240 members at $25 each. To support the YouthlTeen Leadership Program which will give youths 7-17 group dynamics and leadership skills. 2. Total funding is not to exceed $19,000.
