Leach Mounca, a firm that specializes in law enforcement and public safety facilities, was selected to provide the necessary services. since it is important that the project proceed in a timely fashion, it is also recommended that the contract with Archetype International, who performed that space study, be amended to include the preparation of preliminary floor plans, based upon the needs identified in their space study and the knowledge they have of the currant Police Department operations. The amendment will not exceed $32,000. These tasks will not be duplicated by Leach Mounce Architects. San Bernardino is hereby authorized and 8 directed to execute, on behalf of said City, an amendment to the 9 agreement with Archetype International relating to necessary 10 architectural design services for the renovation oP the savings and 11 ' loan building at 701 North "E" Street for use as a central police 12 station, a copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A", 13 and incorporated herein by reference as Tully as though set forth 14 at length. jla 15 SECTION 2. This amendment shall not take effect until fully ~~Ii 16 signed and executed by all parties. Tha City shall not be 17 obligated hereunder unless and until the amendment is fully 18 executed and no oral agreement relating thereto shall be implied or 19 authorized. ZO SECTION 3.
